Camera Man/DP NEEDED!! 

Hello :-D

We are a group of actors, writers, and directors looking for a DP with his or her own equipment for a series of sketches. Each sketch should take no more than 2 days to shoot, and almost all sketches will be done in the valley area. Looking for exciting and enthusiastic people to come on board and help make this possible. Although we cannot offer pay right now, you will get a copy and credit of every sketch as well as meals on shoot days.

Let me get this straight you want me to work an 8 and half hour day with NO lunch and bring my own equipment???? Reality check time, buddy. It is ILLEGAL to work someone 8 hours without a break? Oh and you want someone to bring THOUSANDS of dollars of equipment and bust ass with no break for a measly $100?????? Where do I sign up. You guys sound like a real blast to work with and I'm sure your project will just make my career break wide open and bring in the dough on future projects. Yeah right. I'm sure your project sucks as much as your pathetic offer of compensation does.

Simply put call time is 7:30am we wrap at 4pm. We are shooting six scenes the two longest scenes are five pages. The others are 3, 1, 2,2 respectively. We have one exterior scene (very quick 1pg). No time for lunch due to amount of scenes will bring on set snack bring something to eat on the go. We are near the highway so that can be a problem. I can send you the scripts asap. I will also need for you to keep a log. If you are interested please contact us immediately.

Not only are you asking for an experienced DP and a sound guy, but you're also asking for a pyrotechnician, a sculptor, stunt coordinator, AND a horse? Get real man. You're making a period piece. Make some money and then post this ad. I would understand if you just wanted a student DP and rented some sound equipment and needed someone hold a boom mic but that's WAY too much. I understand if you're from another country, but I just can't stand when people on Craigslist want sooo much for next to nothing. Don't waste ad space. Second, with all your connections, how is it you have no actual connections to ask to work for you for free? Thirdly, your references...how are we going to get in touch with Terence Malick, Martin Scorcese and Sergio Leone to see if you are even legit? And fourthly, you need a stunt guy for a car hit and you aren't paying anything? Should I really go on? Are you serious? I don't think you can be. If you are, why not put your money where your mouth is and actually put some $$$ into a production? You'd be surprised how much easier it is to get people interested in your project when you put money into it.
