RE: Casting Director Needed

Where do I begin? First, it is illegal to state an age requirement for this job. See eeoc.gov. Second, do you really think you will find an experienced casting director who is in his/her early to mid 20s, with a portfolio who will work for free? Why limit yourselves? Why not also require that they be willing to cook and walk your dogs? Shame on you for trying to take advantage. You state "If it goes well we may continue to work together." If you aren't paying, it already isn't going well. Again, shame on you. Include top 3 bands/musicians, films, tv shows, and comic books???? What??? And this helps you get the talent you need...how? I should forward your post to the CSA. Google it.

Independent production team looking for a Casting Director for a dramatic scripted feature. Someone in their early to mid twenties.


After production credit and copy will be given.
In regard to PAY: Do you think we would be posting this to Craigslist if there were pay?

We're looking for someone who wants something fun to do to help a group of filmmakers out. If it goes well we may continue working together.

Our team is currently in development on two other projects, so a basic non-disclosure (confidentiality) agreements will be required.

Personal taste will need to be at least kind of in line for this to work.
