I
can't believe some of the ads now on Craigslist. I keep expecting Rod
Serling to step out from behind the corner and tell us we've just
crossed over into the Twilight Zone.
Are
all of these so called "producers" living in their parent's
basement, with their mom doing their laundry? They can't possibly be
paying rent or a mortgage and believe someone could survive on $10
per hour. Nobody with an IQ above room temperature could be that bad
at math.
They
ask for professionals, yet don't seem to understand that a
professional is someone who does something for a living. To offer a
professional less than a livable wage is either naive or stupid.
Here's
a news flash: making a movie is not an inalienable right. Like any
other business, if you want to participate, you need to raise the
necessary capital and take the necessary risks. Expecting other
people to take the risk for you is arrogant and immoral.
It's
time to stop leeching off your parents, move out of mommy's house,
and get a real job.
And
if you really want to hire someone for $10 per hour, there are plenty
of people standing out in front of Home Depot who would love to work
for you.
Location:
time to move out of mommy's basement
Compensation:
pay a fair wage for professional work
